About This Place

Nestled in the heart of Vancouver’s vibrant East Broadway corridor, Indochine Kitchen offers a captivating journey through the rich and varied flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine. Specializing in dishes that evoke the warmth and complexity of Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Thai culinary traditions, this restaurant invites diners to savor authentic tastes delivered with a modern touch.

The menu is a treasure trove of irresistible offerings, from the indulgently rich Butter Beef and the smoky, garlicky delight of their Indochine Garlic Butter Chicken Wings to the comforting and fragrant Singapore Laksa and the classic Hainanese Chicken. Each bite bursts with layers of flavor—whether it’s the buttery, crispy wings that balance tenderness with a perfectly caramelized finish, or the luscious Red Curry that wraps you in a creamy embrace of spices. The Baked Oysters and Mushrooms bring a luxurious earthiness, while the Black Pepper Poutine offers a unique fusion twist, inviting adventurous palates to explore.

For those who love sharing and small bites, the tapas-style selections like Vietnamese-Style Spring Rolls, Lemongrass Chicken Skewers, and the intriguing Black Bean Escargot create a perfect tasting journey. The fresh and vibrant salads—such as the Thai Chicken Salad and Papaya Salad—add a crisp, refreshing contrast to the richer dishes. Ending the meal on a sweet note is a breeze with house favorites like the creamy and decadent Indochine Cheesecake or the cold, velvety scoops of Mario’s Gelati Ice Cream.

The atmosphere at Indochine Kitchen strikes a lovely balance between casual comfort and refined detail. Many guests describe the space as welcoming and intimate, amplified by friendly, attentive staff who make you feel genuinely looked after. One reviewer fondly recalls how a quiet visit felt like a private dining experience set against the backdrop of large TV screens, perfect for soaking in the ambiance without interruption.

Real customer voices highlight not just the impeccable food but also the memorable service and the thoughtfully curated beverage menu. Take, for example, the fruity lychee mojitos that perfectly complement the home-cooked dishes like steamed rice with green onion and ginger sauce, or the honey-garlic chicken wings praised for their saucy, crispy exteriors and tender meat inside. The consensus is clear: from the vibrant spring rolls to the savory garlic butter wings, every dish feels carefully crafted to excite the senses.

Though some note that takeout prices can be a bit elevated—likely due to delivery fees—the overall impression remains overwhelmingly positive. Whether you’re stopping by for a cozy dinner or ordering a feast for home, Indochine Kitchen offers a flavorful, authentic experience that stands out on Vancouver’s diverse dining scene. This is a place where each plate tells a story, inviting you to explore, savor, and return for more.

As others have mentioned, this is the cheat code to get Phnom Penh wings. We found it curiously vacant and it became our private dining room with big TV screens.

Ordered take out - imagine this...takeout lychee mojitos!! They knocked it out of the park with the cocktails. Food was tasty and home cooked - steamed rice, green onion and ginger sauce, butter garlic wings, and spicy cucumber salad. The price was a little high, but probably because the order was through Uber Eats.

First time ordering from this restaurant. I ordered their Garlic Butter Wings, 3 in 1 Tofu, and rice. Delicious! The wings are were crispy and yet not dry inside and perfectly seasoned. The tofu is the perfect blend of sweet, savoury and spicy. Can't wait to try the rest of their menu.

Good food, ambience, and friendly staff. The beer, garlic butter wings, butter beef and beef luc lac are my favorites.

The server was awesome, super friendly. Went early on in the day so it wasn't too busy which was nice. Ordered a strawberry mojito & the honey garlic chicken wings. The wings were perfect! Saucy and crispy on the outside but tender and meaty on the inside (also the portion was a really good size! I was full) would definitely return.
